Robin has spent 30 years successfully searching for and identifying tomorrow’s unicorns. He started his career spending six years as a German Automotive, Consumer Goods and Small Cap analyst at County Nat West and then with Schroder Securities. He joined Dresdner Kleinwort Benson in 1996 and with the advent of Germany’s Neuer Markt in 1997 became a dedicated DACH region Small Cap Equity salesman. Between 1997 and 2019, first at Schroders then later at Commerzbank and BaaderHelvea, Robin was involved in over 100 IPO’s and secondaries and worked closely with at least twenty DACH region small companies that achieved substantial annual returns reaching multi-billion euro valuations. Robin’s teams were consistently top 3 ranked for more than two decades. In 2019 he transitioned to a private market focus involving UK Startup and Scaleup SMEs (as well as the funds that invest in them), providing long term advice and capital introductions mainly around the themes of Diet, Climate/Net Zero transition and Productivity improvement/Behavioural change.
